Under the agreement, Entrust and MK Group can collaborate to help governments advance secure, high-assurance identity programs that include electronic passports, national identity cards, and related credentials. The relationship brings together Entrust’s global experience in government identity, credential issuance, identity-centric security, and international market reach with MK Group’s capabilities in secure credential technology, smart cards, secure manufacturing and program implementation.

“Modern identity programs are at a crossroads – protecting national security, advancing digital transformation, and improving citizen service,” said Tony Ball, CEO of Entrust. “Governments want to issue trusted credentials that are secure, easy to manage, and aligned with the services their citizens rely on every day. Entrust and MK Group have collaborated successfully on citizen ID programs in the Asia-Pacific region, and this partnership will promote our collaboration on government ID opportunities where we can add value together.”

“Government identity programs require trusted technology, proven execution, and the flexibility to meet local needs,” said Nguyen Trong Khang, Founder, Chairman, and CEO of MK Group. “MK brings deep experience in secure credential technologies, smart cards, secure manufacturing and personalization, as well as the implementation of national-scale identity programs. Together with Entrust, we can help governments build secure, scalable identity programs that combine trusted technologies with the flexibility to address local requirements and support long-term national capabilities.”

The partnership provides a framework for Entrust and MK Group to explore government identity opportunities where their complementary technologies, market reach, manufacturing capabilities, and implementation experience can support governments in modernizing identity infrastructure and delivering trusted citizen credentials.
