CloudEagle.ai Gives Enterprises Complete Control Over AI Token Consumption and Budgeting

Finance and IT can now set a spend threshold per team or app, watch usage against it in real time, and cut it off automatically.

CloudEagle.ai today announces AI token consumption and budget alerts, now in private beta, giving IT and Finance teams a way to set spending limits by org, department, or app, track token consumption against those limits in real time, and cap usage automatically before a budget runs out. Until now, teams found out they had overshot their AI budget when the invoice arrived, weeks after the spend was already committed. They can now watch it building and stop it while the month is still running.

Enterprises need to see that spend as it happens and cap it while there is still budget left to protect. Budgeting for AI should work the way the technology does, continuously, not once a quarter.”

— Nidhi Jain, CEO of CloudEagle.ai.

Managing AI spend is not like managing SaaS. A SaaS license bills at a fixed rate per seat, so the cost is known before the month begins. Tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, and others bill by token usage, so one high-usage week or one unmonitored agent can consume a month’s allocation in hours. Gartner recommends enterprises enforce strict consumption limits with segmented budgets, establishing hard financial boundaries by department or application.

“AI spend does not wait for a monthly budget review; it moves at the speed of every prompt an employee sends. Enterprises need to see that spend as it happens and cap it while there is still budget left to protect. Budgeting for AI should work the way the technology does, continuously, not once a quarter,” said Nidhi Jain, CEO of CloudEagle.ai.

Worldwide spending on AI models and platforms is set to grow 63% to $64 billion in 2026, according to Gartner, yet most enterprises see that spend as a single line on a vendor invoice. Token consumption reports in CloudEagle.ai break it down by app, team, and user, so every token traces back to the person, project, or agent that consumed it. That attribution is what makes the number actionable.

A finance team looking at a $40,000 monthly AI bill cannot do much with it. The same team looking at which department drove 60% of it, and which agent workflow accounted for most of that, has something to act on.

Visibility still leaves the overspend intact if nobody sees it in time. Token budgets let teams set a threshold at the org, department, or app level, and CloudEagle.ai tracks consumption against it continuously, alerting the owning team as usage approaches the limit rather than after it is crossed. When a monthly Claude token budget is on pace to run out in four days, CloudEagle.ai flags it and offers to cap usage and notify the team, turning an overrun that would have surfaced in the next invoice into a decision made while there is still budget left to protect.

For Finance, token spend was invisible until the invoice, and department-level budgets meant little once usage outpaced them mid-cycle. Finance can now reallocate while the month is still running, with consumption data specific enough to defend the number rather than explain it later.

For IT, monitoring usage across Claude, ChatGPT, and Copilot meant checking separate vendor dashboards that spoke to none of the budgets IT was responsible for. IT now manages consumption across every AI tool from one place, with caps that keep one team’s overuse from becoming everyone’s problem.

AI Token consumption and budget alerts are in private beta, with general availability planned for later this year.
