Datavault AI has named Dr. Barry Childe, a co-founder of quantum-encryption company Arqit and a former Distinguished Engineer at HSBC, as Chief Information Security Officer.

At Datavault AI, Childe will lead the Company’s cybersecurity strategy and strengthen data protection across the platforms that support tokenization, valuation and secure data monetization. His mandate centers on protecting critical data, advancing secure infrastructure and driving the Company’s work in AI security and quantum-resistant technologies.

“Datavault AI sits at the intersection of tokenization and post-quantum security, two disciplines that will define the next generation of trusted digital assets,” said Dr. Barry Childe, Chief Information Security Officer of Datavault AI. “I’m honored to lead security through this pivotal chapter and to support the safe deployment of the Company’s digital asset and tokenization platforms at institutional scale.”

Childe brings more than 40 years of experience across cybersecurity, high-performance computing, cloud infrastructure and distributed-ledger technology. He served as a Distinguished Engineer at HSBC, where he led the bank’s blockchain and innovation initiatives, and held senior technology roles at Barclays Capital, The Royal Bank of Scotland and VMware. He later co-founded Arqit, a quantum-encryption company, and contributed to the development of enterprise platforms including R3 Corda and We.Trade. He is a published author on high-performance, grid, and distributed computing and holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science.

“Bringing Dr. Childe onto our leadership team strengthens the foundation beneath everything we build,” said Nathaniel T. Bradley, CEO of Datavault AI. “His decades of work in high-performance computing, cryptography and quantum-resistant security give us deep expertise as we scale secure infrastructure across tokenization, valuation and data monetization.”
