In the report, 17 vendors are classified as leaders, challengers, or entrants based on scoring across 24 technical and business criteria, with Versa earning the top score in the Key Features Comparison. A complimentary copy of the full report is available here.

In explaining the outperformer designation, the report’s author cited Versa’s “continuous innovation,” pointing to emerging capabilities such as GenAI firewall, GraphML endpoint detection, an MCP server for AI integration, and SASE-on-SIM deployments.

Key decision criteria

Versa received the highest overall score for key features, earning 5-star ratings for edge computing integration, dynamic traffic management, API-driven automation, Sovereign SASE, digital experience monitoring, and self-service portal capabilities. Versa also earned 5-star ratings in the Business Criteria Comparison for flexibility, manageability, performance, and support.

Leader and outperformer

Of the 17 SASE vendors evaluated, only four were recognized as both a leader and an outperformer, a forward-looking assessment based on a vendor’s rate of progress in executing its strategy. In the GigaOm Radar summary matrix, Versa appears in the Maturity/Platform Play quadrant, signifying that the vendor possesses “both the technical depth and organizational resources necessary to deliver comprehensive, enterprise-grade solutions that span the entire SASE architecture.”

“We are thrilled to be recognized as a SASE industry leader for the second year in GigaOm’s Radar report,” said Dan Maier, chief marketing officer at Versa. “The inclusion of new criteria this year, such as Sovereign SASE and granular control of local data processing, reflects how the world is changing. Recognition of Versa’s leadership underscores our commitment to delivering innovative, AI-powered SASE that enhances security at every edge for enterprise and service provider customers.”
