Ubicquia Appoints Amazon Marketing Exec Doug Yates as Chief Marketing Officer to Drive Growth and Market Expansion

Ubicquia, Inc., a leader in intelligent infrastructure solutions, today announced the appointment of Doug Yates as Chief Marketing Officer (CMO). In this role, Yates will lead Ubicquia’s marketing strategy, brand positioning, and partner engagement initiatives, helping to accelerate the company’s growth and expand its impact across utilities, municipalities, and enterprises.

Yates brings a wealth of experience in brand strategy, audience development and revenue-driven marketing, having held leadership roles at Amazon, Lucasfilm, Disney, and FOX. Throughout his career, he has built and transformed some of the most recognized brands in entertainment, technology, and media.

Before joining Ubicquia, Yates served as Senior Synergy Lead at Amazon MGM Studios, where he maximized strategic marketing opportunities across over 30 Amazon owned businesses. Prior to that, he was Head of Marketing, Distribution & Online at Lucasfilm, where he led global marketing initiatives for the iconic Star Wars franchise overseeing its expansion across TV, theatrical, gaming, digital, and consumer products. His team successfully launched Star Wars: The Clone Wars globally, introducing the franchise to a new generation and achieving record-breaking revenue.

At FOX, Yates was instrumental in driving over $100 million in incremental revenue by creating strategic brand partnerships across FOX, FX, National Geographic, and FOX Sports. Earlier in his career, he helped launch FX Networks, develop the global FOX Kids brand, and reinvent TV Guide Network.
