RapidFort Achieves SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance, Reinforcing Trust-First Strategy

Third-party auditors confirm the company’s mature security practices, reaffirming RapidFort’s commitment to their partners and customers

RapidFort, a San Francisco-based container security company, announced that it has successfully completed a Service Organization Controls (SOC) 2 Type 2 compliance audit, demonstrating the company’s commitment to maintaining all aspects of security and privacy. After an extensive review of RapidFort’s controls, practices, business processes, and more by a professional third-party auditor, RapidFort met more than 300 necessary requirements to achieve the certification.

“Achieving SOC 2 Type 2 compliance makes RapidFort more than just a credible company, but a trusted and preferred business partner. Now companies of all sizes, from government organizations to major enterprises, can use the RapidFort platform with confidence knowing that their data will remain secure.”

The importance of vendor and partner security cannot be overstated in today’s business ecosystem. Security breaches from vendors or partners that directly affect companies and their clients are more prevalent now than ever before. SOC 2, developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), is a globally recognized auditing procedure that measures a service provider’s ability to securely manage its data and protect the privacy of its clientele. All audited organizations must meet the criteria across five trust service principles, including security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality, and privacy.

Successfully completing the SOC 2 Type 2 Compliance audit reasserts RapidFort’s dedication to its current and future business partners. This certification also allows them to broaden their target audience to companies that will only work with SOC 2 Type 2 credited companies. RapidFort’s existing internal standards of security and compliance made the 3-month assessment process simple. They were able to demonstrate excellence in best practices for each of the audited categories and serve as an example that adherence to high standards begets positive outcomes.
