According to a recent study released by Embroker, 63% of small business owners believe they are unlikely to face a ransomware attack. The same study showed that only 28% of these business owners have coverage for cyber crimes. However, data shows that these companies are clearly at risk: according to the Ransomware Taskforce, businesses with fewer than 500 employees were hit with 70% of the attacks in 2021.
