“SnapLogic’s Intelligent Integration Platform – with unparalleled user experience and industry-leading AI and mL at its core – enables our customers to further speed the integration and automation process.”
Hi Jeremiah, please tell us a little bit about your role as CTO at SnapLogic and how you arrived here.
Throughout my career, I’ve always sought opportunities where I can take on brutally difficult problems with passionate teams and deliver services and solutions that make a positive difference in the world today. Prior to joining SnapLogic, I was the CTO at healthcare technology company Ontrak, and before that, I held senior leadership roles at GE and SAP. Now, as CTO at SnapLogic, I get the opportunity to help global enterprises accelerate business agility.
As CTO, I oversee SnapLogic’s product and technology strategy, helping the company scale to meet increasing market demand for intelligent integration and automation while ensuring our offering anticipates customer and market needs. As part of this, I am responsible for guiding the continued development and future direction of SnapLogic’s Intelligent Integration Platform – with unparalleled user experience and industry-leading AI and machine learning at its core – enabling our customers to further speed the integration and automation process to drive breakthrough business results.
At the same time, SnapLogic is a company that truly lives its values. For me personally, culture is key to success, and the entire SnapLogic team is united behind our common values of excellence, integrity, and innovation. This shared purpose allows us to stay focused on building great products that accelerate our customers’ success.
How did the pandemic change you as a person and as a business leader? Could you please tell us how you stayed on top of your business roles during the challenging times?
The pandemic has had a profound impact on us all. It was a time of great reflection and an opportunity to rethink what we want out of life and how we go about achieving that – both personally and professionally.
One thing is for sure – the change we are all experiencing will only accelerate. As we’ve seen in recent years, not only with the pandemic but the global unrest and economic uncertainty too, organizations need to be able to adapt instantaneously. And integration and automation are key to helping them do this. We have a unique opportunity to tackle gnarly business problems that can’t be solved without taking a different, faster and better approach.
Now more than ever, my goal is to ensure that my colleagues and our customers have the skills and tools to solve their hardest challenges. I am in a unique position to help by bringing sharp thinking, a flexible and collaborative approach, and a commitment and passion to solving hard problems.

Tell us more about your vision for data science and AI in the Cloud.
I believe that in order to deliver the kind of impact we hope for from AI and Cloud technologies, we must liberate and integrate data in a manner that is simultaneously robust enough for full-strength operations yet flexible enough to adapt and change to support learning and continuous improvement.
SnapLogic’s cloud-native, AI-driven, and scalable integration platform simplifies and accelerates the integration of on-premises and cloud-based data sources and applications, all without the need for extensive coding. It enables teams – whether in IT or any line of business – to speed up, get the most out of their data, and do their best work.
Data integration and data optimization are big challenges for enterprises. What is the best approach to drive breakthrough business results?
Often, the most difficult part of making a strategic business decision is the enormous overhead and burden of integrating data from disparate applications and systems. New product introductions, business acquisitions, mergers, divestitures, market expansions, etc, are too often gated by technology. We put business strategy in the lead and help IT and business teams keep pace by using a guided and visual approach to designing data integration and data optimisation workloads. This model-driven approach helps to maintain the primacy of business goals over technical hurdles.
Getting enterprise technology right is hard work and requires that everyone in an organisation is on-board and contributing to success. We help hopefuls become heroes. Our aim is to help talented and motivated individuals – whether in IT, or any line of business, anywhere in the world – rapidly help their business run better and more effectively by aligning applications and systems and getting the most out of their data.
SnapLogic’s Intelligent Integration Platform – with unparalleled user experience and industry-leading AI and machine learning at its core – enables our customers to further speed the integration and automation process to drive breakthrough business results.
How does SnapLogic enable customers to drive these results?
Our self-service, AI-powered integration platform helps organizations connect applications and data sources, automate common workflows and business processes, and deliver exceptional experiences for customers, partners, and employees.Â
We continuously innovate around user experience and AI and machine learning to further accelerate user productivity and business results. We believe this is the key to delivering business agility at the most rapid pace and lowest investment in time and capital by our customers and partners.

Where does AI and machine learning fit into SnapLogic’s Intelligent Integration Platform? Could you please tell us more about how customers leverage this platform?
SnapLogic is the pioneer in bringing AI to enterprise integration with the delivery of learned integration rather than coded integration. That means, all system and data interoperability is like a conversation where the system is listening and learning from usage, allowing it to perform better as an ally as time goes on rather than remaining inert and static in capability and ease of use.
This is a great domain for machine learning. We use machine learning to identify the common patterns associated with, say HR systems, and as time goes on, we will be able to autonomously connect different systems involved in the employee lifecycle without the onerous overhead of large groups of IT experts.
Whether they’re a manufacturer, a pharmaceutical researcher, an educational institution, an app producer, or a consumer products company, SnapLogic delivers AI-enhanced integration of data and applications. As a result, cloud-native integration and automation allow them to get up and running sooner.Â
We remove manual burdens, reduce data silos and achieve automatic updates as changes occur. This enables them to work faster and accomplish more, all while delivering amazing, end-to-end processes from hire-to-retire, quote-to-cash, procure-to-pay, customer onboarding, customer service/360, and other business process flows.
Your predictions on the future of intelligent integration platforms and how SnapLogic could become the leading option for new age digital companies:
The pressure is on to take advancements in AI and Machine Learning and apply them in a way that is natural and supportive of goals that technologists are looking to accomplish. The user experience challenge is immense, and it is not clear that many working in our field will be able to be successful.
At SnapLogic, we aim to deliver the leading option by delivering a delightful and unique high-productivity experience, autonomous and learned integration, and efficient, scalable, compliant and secure systems.
A data science domain that you are keenly following and why:
Progress in Foundation models is particularly interesting to me. This domain seeks to move from narrow, task-specific and labour intensive approaches to more generalisable systems that are able to perform a wider array of tasks with a lower burden of tuning and training data. Most interestingly, Foundation models are showing the potential for generation of new work. Early examples of this domain are GPT-3, BERT, or DALL-E 2. I encourage readers to explore this area to see a glimpse of what may be possible with generative AI.
Thank you, Jeremiah! That was fun and we hope to see you back on itechnologyseries.com soon.
