IoT-eSIM From iBASIS Can Now be Activated via Dynamic Profile Download in the Verizon Network
  • After a successful design and test cycle, iBASIS was the first to be approved for the use of a local Verizon profile via a dynamic download
  • An alternative solution to the challenges of permanent roaming in the USA
  • Expansion of iBASIS Global Access for Things ™ by integrating a local US profile into a single SKU-eSIM (Stock Keeping Unit eSIM)
  • Coverage area supports both use cases for LPWA (Low Power Wide Area) and high data use cases for IoT devices

iBASIS announced that Verizon is making a local profile available via dynamic profile download for IoT connectivity to eSIM iBASIS Global Access for Things ™ .

Adding the local Verizon profile to iBASIS ‘IoT connectivity is an alternative solution to the ongoing challenges of roaming in the US and helps overcome potential technological, commercial and regulatory challenges associated with IoT roaming.

If a device with iBASIS-eSIM is detected in an area, the local profile is downloaded dynamically via radio and can be operated as a local or regional SIM card, so that roaming scenarios are no longer required.Prediction Series Banner
