“Organizations around the world strive to use data to create better products. As a result, we are making large investments in global infrastructure measures that focus on exceptional security and privacy measures, ”said Daniel Bailey, Vice President of EMEA at Amplitude. “Customer privacy measures must be a priority, especially when data is shared and stored in the cloud. As our customer base continues to grow rapidly and due to the changing data protection standards in the EU, we have invested in this data center to meet customer needs and ensure that they will be able to comply with the highest security standards and the most stringent data protection regulations. ”
Amplitude chose the AWS data center in Frankfurt because Germany has the strictest data protection and technology standards in the world. Thus, Amplitude will be able to conduct stricter verification procedures and maintain higher standards for all user access controls, data filtering and tools. The company’s data center is neutral and agnostic, complies with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and is ISO 27001 and SOC 2 Type II certified.
