Zyxel Communications Partners With Plume to Provide Best-of-Breed Broadband CPE and Next Generation Cloud-Based Services

Zyxel Communications Partners With Plume to Provide Best-of-Breed Broadband CPE and Next Generation Cloud-Based Services

Zyxel Communications, an industry-leading provider of secure broadband networking, Internet access and connected home products, announced a partnership with personalized smart services pioneer Plume in which select Zyxel customer-premises equipment (CPE) will ship pre-integrated with OpenSync, and provide out-of-the-box support for Plume’s SaaS experience platform and associated services suites.

Available in Q4 2021, select Zyxel WiFi 6 gateways and extenders will support OpenSync and will be certified for Plume’s services, including the HomePass smart home suite and the Haystack data prediction and analytics suite. Plume’s services suites provide smart home subscribers with flawless connectivity, complete network control, personalization, security and customization via a highly-rated app.

Zyxel’s WiFi 6 gateway-extender system supports dual-operational capability giving service providers unprecedented versatility in network management and delivery of enhanced WiFi. The ability to choose between Zyxel’s MPro MESH Intelligent WiFi with TR-69 remote management capability or Plume’s integrated platform and associated services provides service providers with maximum deployment flexibility and enables them to provide different service options for a tiered approach. Multi-operational CPE can significantly reduce costs by simplifying logistics, maintenance and customer support costs.

“Service providers have a dual challenge in offering personalized, premium services to subscribers while maintaining granular visibility and control across their networks and services to deliver consistently, high-performing experience,” explained Brian Feng, Senior Vice President of Zyxel Communications. “The winning combination of Zyxel WiFi 6 CPEs with OpenSync and Plume’s cloud platform solves both these challenges.”

“The broadband market has changed irrevocably, driven largely by the subscribers’ hunger for new, highly personalized services, and the big tech companies who are only too eager to fulfil those needs over-the-top,” said Tyson Marian, Chief Commercial Officer, Plume. “Zyxel has taken an important step to empower broadband service providers to address changing subscriber needs, by providing them with access to a highly-scalable cloud-driven framework that harnesses the power of the cloud to create and deliver new subscriber experiences at unparalleled speed across entire device populations.”

The fully-integrated combination of OpenSync software and Plume services will be available in Q4 2021 for evaluation on the EX5510 AX6000 WiFi6 2.5 Gigabit Ethernet Gateway, EX3510 AX5700 WiFi 6 Gigabit Ethernet Gateway, and WX3310 Dual-Band Wireless AX Gigabit Access Point/Extender.
