Kinetic announced plans to expand its fiber internet to more homes and businesses in Texarkana on both the Arkansas and Texas sides of town. This next phase of the fiber buildout will mean 35% of customers in the area will have access to unparalleled speed and reliability that fiber brings to power broadband, voice, productivity and entertainment services. By the end of next year, 50% of customers will have fiber, with the number reaching 65% of customers by the end 2023.

This investment gives residents and businesses in the area access to fast, reliable fiber to navigate the internet safely from home with no lag times while they work, learn or stream entertainment services. Businesses ranging from small shops to large enterprises can take advantage of the fiber-backed network to deploy solutions that make their companies more efficient and profitable such as OfficeSuite UC® and SD-WAN.
“Any day we get to talk about the bright future of our community is a good day,” said Mayor Bob Bruggeman of Texarkana, Texas. “Partnering with Kinetic to deploy fiber means we can attract more and stronger business development, give our residents better quality of life and have the peace that the technology deployed is built for whatever the future brings.”

Kinetic is embarking on a $2 billion, multi-year construction initiative to dramatically expand gigabit internet service by deploying fiber across its 18-state footprint. The company is pleased to announce that Texarkana is one of the first markets for this premium investment.
Engineering for the deployment is ongoing, and Kinetic is staffing up construction crews. Residents of Texarkana will see crews working on the fiber roll-out in their areas for months to come.
“Kinetic is a proud partner to the city and residents of Texarkana, and we are dedicated to delivering fast broadband speed, at competitive rates with unmatched service,” said Jeff Small, president of Kinetic. “As this fiber is delivered, Texarkana more than ever will be able count on Kinetic for fast and reliable connections.”
