CI Security Changes Company Name to Critical Insight, Reflecting Dedication to Organizations

CI Security, a Managed Detection and Response (MDR) service provider specializing in protecting the networks of life-saving organizations and critical infrastructure, announced the company’s name change to Critical Insight®.

The company’s new name truly represents its mission to defend organizations with critical missions and allow them to thrive. Founded by the former CISO of Seattle, Michael Hamilton, Critical Insight assists companies, organizations, and municipalities with underfunded, overburdened IT staff. Customers will still benefit from the same talented security analysts, incident response specialists, and consultants, as well as the same strong level of service they are accustomed to from Critical Insight’s combination of solutions and services.

Critical Insight, which has long been the name of CI’s platform, captures the entire suite of services that includes MDR and gives customers full insight into their security postures. The Total Suite also includes assessments, penetration testing, incident response, and vulnerability scanning.

“Security is not just about keeping the bad guys out; security is a journey in which everyone deserves critical insight into what’s going on inside and outside their network. As we launch our new brand name, we also embrace an evolved model of cybersecurity that gives customers more: a combined service with MDR as the foundation, layered with managed and professional services to cover the entire security journey. Our customers need not just MDR, but also risk assessments, vulnerability scanning, IoT Security, penetration tests, and compliance-driven services,” said Garrett Silver, CEO of Critical Insight.

CISO and Founder Mike Hamilton said, “From those who sustain lives in healthcare organizations and utilities, to those who shape lives in education and governments, to those who enrich lives in commercial enterprises, what our customers do is critical. We protect those who shape our lives. It’s more than a commitment. It’s our founding principle. A promise to our customers and our community. At Critical Insight, we serve those who serve us all.”
