New offering enables AWS users to use Kubernetes security and observability as services along with managed Kubernetes services
Tigera, the inventor and maintainer of Project Calico, announced that it is offering a software as a service (SaaS) in AWS Marketplace that provides Kubernetes security and observability with a single click.

“Calico Cloud works with managed Kubernetes services such as Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (Amazon EKS), as well as Kubernetes distributions running in Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) to help secure, observe and troubleshoot their cloud-native applications.”
AWS Marketplace is a digital catalog with thousands of software listings from independent software vendors that makes it easy to find, test, buy, and deploy software that runs on Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Calico Cloud gives DevOps, DevSecOps, and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) teams a single pane of glass across multi-cluster and multi-cloud Kubernetes environments to deploy a standard set of egress access controls, enforce security policies for compliance, and observe and troubleshoot applications. With availability in AWS Marketplace, customers can consume Kubernetes security and observability as services with the ability to connect other Kubernetes clusters running on AWS.

“Through AWS Marketplace, customers are able to get started in minutes instead of days or weeks long deployment cycles,” said Amit Gupta, VP business development & product management of Tigera. “Plus, users only need to pay for services consumed instead of upfront investment commitments, so there is better alignment as their business grows.”
Calico provides automated observability capabilities that DevOps and SREs can use to quickly troubleshoot issues.
“AWS Marketplace offers a frictionless approach for users to have an easy on-ramp to technologies like Calico to improve their security and observability in Kubernetes deployments,” said Matthew Girdharry, WW Leader, DevOps, Observability, and Security, AWS Marketplace, AWS.
