Making Indonesia 4.0: Ericsson and PIDI 4.0 Inaugurate 5G Innovation Center

Ericsson Indonesia and The Center for Digital Industry 4.0 (PIDI 4.0) have inaugurated their joint 5G Innovation Center at the PIDI 4.0 building located in Permata Hijau, Jakarta.

PIDI 4.0 is a government agency within the Industrial Human Resources Development Agency under the Ministry of Industry. The 5G Innovation Centre aims to accelerate Indonesia’s transformation towards industry 4.0.

By ‘Making Indonesia 4.0’, Indonesia has the potential to become one of the world’s top 10 economies by 2030. In addition, according to a study from The Asian Development Bank titled “Innovate Indonesia Unlocking Growth Through Technological Transformation”, by adopting new technologies, productivity can be improved and will drive accumulated GDP growth of 11 percent in the 2020-2040 period.

The 5G Innovation Center being set up is an example of the same.
