The implementation of 5G continues to grow quickly. The two main factors contributing to the swift adoption of the technology are the constant construction of 5G infrastructure and the growing use of smartphones around the world and particularly in developing economies. According to research by J.P. Morgan, Northeast Asia is leading the global adoption of 5G technology. Additionally, 5G adoption is projected to help accelerate the Internet of Things (IoT) in the region. By 2025, Japan and South Korea are expected to see 150 million IoT connections, which is +29% in terms of compound annual growth rate (CAGR). China, meanwhile, is expected to see 2.5 billion connections (+13% CAGR). uCloudlink Group Inc., AT & T, Inc., Marvell Technology, Inc., DISH Network Corp., SK Telecom Co.,Ltd.
5G is also expected to affect various other innovative tech sectors, like the AR/VR market and the cloud computing industry. Generally, the global market for cloud computing is being propelled forward by newly emerging technologies such as big data, artificial intelligence (AI), and machine learning (ML). Meanwhile, the expansion of cloud computing services has grown due to several factors such as the protection of sensitive data, the acceleration of disaster recovery (DR), and the fulfilling of regulatory mandates.
